Find a beekeeping mentor in North Carolina
Whether you have no or some experience with bees, or have been away from beekeeping for many years and ready to get started again, every beekeeper benefits from a mentor. I've been keeping bees close to a decade and I still have the same mentor who I started with before I even had my first hive.
Many beekeeping clubs offer their own mentor programs. These vary by design, time commitment, and obligations. I encourage you to find your local beekeeping club and learn about mentorship opportunities and learning hives in your area. If you're looking for personalized support, here's how I structure my beekeeping mentorships:

5 things to know about my mentorships
- You don't need a hive to get started. Use our mentorship time to site an optimal location for your hive, source bees, and get prepared.
- Hive inspections can be on your own hives or mine in Pittsboro or Robbinsville, North Carolina. You don't need to be located in North Carolina for us to work together--virtual hive inspections are possible all year long.
- 1:1 time is priority: Monthly Zoom calls are not group calls and weekly text updates are not group texts.
- You don't need to practice natural beekeeping to work with me. However, I can help support you since that's how I keep my bees.
- 6-month and 1-year mentorships include a paid subscription to my blog dedicated to natural beekeeping and permaculture.
